Emily Little immigrated to Canada with her parents from war torn Poland and lived in Gladstone, Manitoba with its beautiful lakes, rivers and colourful seasons. She was an art visionary since childhood and was asked to participate in various creative endeavours by her peers and teachers.
Her career choice was Interior Design. She attended the University of Manitoba where she learned to apply watercolour and perspective to her presentation boards. She created and taught a series of art classes for her daughter’s Grade 4 class. During the 40 years as a designer, she expanded her artistic skills to include pottery, sculpture,  photography, watercolour, oil and her medium of choice, acrylic. Her participation in various workshops and retreats at home and abroad have drawn inspiration from other artists, as well as influenced her impressionistic style using underpainting and glazing. She often adds copper or gold leaf, sand or leaves to her paintings for textural effects.
Recently she attended a plein aire festival in Bragg Creek where her work was chosen in the top 3 “best of show”.
She steers a dragon boat for her beloved breast cancer team, Sistership in summer and enjoys travelling where she gathers inspiration for her art.
Emily, a wife, mother and grandmother is dedicated to her art, honing her skills and ever learning techniques.
